Technology Value Limited ("FlexTickets", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the FlexTickets platform (the "Platform"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information you provide directly

Account details: name, email address, phone number, and password (stored encrypted).
Ticket purchase details: billing name, email, and phone number — including for a recipient when you buy a ticket for someone else.
Support communications: any information you share when you contact us via email, WhatsApp, or our contact form.
Student verification details, where you opt in to a student discount.

b. Information collected automatically

Usage data such as pages visited, device type, and browser, collected via Google Analytics.
Log data such as IP address, timestamps, and request metadata, collected by our servers for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you logged in, remember preferences (like theme), and measure site performance.

c. Information from third parties

When you pay for a ticket, our payment partners (Paystack, Stripe, or Interswitch) process your card or bank details directly — FlexTickets does not store your full card number, CVV, or banking PIN. We receive confirmation of payment status and a transaction reference from these providers.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account, and process ticket purchases.
To deliver tickets and transactional communications by email (via Resend) and SMS (via SMSLive247), including receipts, entry QR codes, and event updates.
To verify ticket authenticity at the point of entry (check-in scanning).
To detect and prevent fraud, abuse of promotional codes, and unauthorized ticket resale.
To respond to your support requests.
To improve the Platform's performance and user experience, using aggregated, anonymized analytics where possible.
To send you marketing communications about new events, but only where you have opted in (e.g. newsletter subscription), and you may unsubscribe at any time.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only in the following circumstances:

Event organizers: we share the attendee details necessary for an organizer to run their event (e.g. name and ticket type for check-in), for events you purchase a ticket to.
Service providers: payment processors, email/SMS delivery providers, and hosting/infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
Legal compliance: where required to comply with applicable law, regulation, or a valid legal request.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, tax, and fraud prevention obligations. You may request deletion of your account as described in Section 6 below.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), password hashing, and rate-limiting — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You may access, update, or correct your account information from your dashboard settings.
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or request that we delete your account and associated personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations, by emailing hello@myflextickets.com.
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those emails.
You may control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect the Platform's functionality (e.g. staying logged in).

7. Children's Privacy

FlexTickets is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

8. International Transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be protected in line with this Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and notify you of material changes where appropriate.
